What Are Chemical Peels?

Chemical peels are comprised of chemical solutions that come in light, medium or deep strengths depending on the preferences and individual skin condition of the patient. These peels are applied in layers on the face, with multiple layers applied for deeper skin penetration. The peel is then left on the skin and neutralized, and a peeling effect takes place over a matter of days depending on the strength of the peel.

After the short healing process, a layer of fresh, rejuvenated skin is revealed and signs of aging or damage on the surface are reduced. At LAK Medspa, we offer several types of peels.

Skinmedica® Peels

Developing quality skincare products for the past decade, SkinMedica® has a popular line of peels that we utilize here at LĀK Med Spa:

• Illuminize Peel – This is a light peel for brighter and tighter skin and superficial skin concerns
